20x30 inch ‘Star Wars Last Supper’

Graphite on 4 ply hot pressed plate paper with a touch of color, framed with UV protective museum quality glass.

The setting takes place in The Great Temple on Yavin 4, where the Medal Ceremony was held in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. Tables were inspired by the Jawa Transporters. Mixed in throughout the piece are details from both Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Spaceballs.

It was a lot of fun working with the client to create this piece and come up with really unique ways to bring everything together. This was a tough piece for me, but so worth every minute spent on it. I love it! A huge thank you to the client for the opportunity to create something so special to him.

I would like to share with you the tools I use for both my black & white and colored pointillism artworks. Scroll through the images to take a look at what I keep in my studio for these projects. Provided below is a list of the shown tools. All are purchased through @blickartmaterials, at a lower cost than anywhere else! Feel free to DM with any questions.

* Sakura Pigma Micron fine liners. Ranging from 003 to 08 in black, and 005 to 05 in a wide range of colors.

* Uni-ball signo broad white gel pens for highlights and stars.

* Bottled Winsor & Newton inks for covering large areas with a brush.

* Strathmore 300 Series Bristol Board Vellum or Smooth. Smooth is recommended with inks, but I do like the subtle texture provided by the Vellum.

* Zebra DelGuard 0.5 mechanical pencil for sketching out my work before committing to ink.

* Factis BM2 mechanical eraser, or Factis dust free eraser.

* OttLite Magnifying Desk Lamp.

What a challenging, amazing project this was! I had the pleasure of working with the most patient and passionate US Marine. The top three illustrations featured are from his own photographs, from his own experiences. The three bottom illustrations are real badges he had earned while in service. It was such an honor to create this piece for him. I hope you are all just as excited to view it, as I am with the results!

The original illustration of this Sea Knight helicopter was first created in graphite, as a commissioned piece for a U.S. Veteran. The client who received the original willingly asked me if I would make this piece available in prints for his fellow Veteran’s - of course I was happy to! I am genuinely honored to create and share artworks for our U.S. Veterans. We owe them so much for their service and sacrifice, and if I can help by creating a memorable piece for them I will gladly accept.

Because I strongly feel we should honor them more, with every purchase of this ‘CH-46 Sea Knight’ print 100% of all proceeds will be donated to Semper Fi & America’s Fund ( @semperfifund ). This organization assists combat wounded, critically ill & catastrophically injured veterans & their families through family support, transition & wellness programs. ‘A Door Unlocked’ is now open for business, and right on it’s one year anniversary! 🎉

This passed year has been amazing! What started as a passion to create turned into so much more. Aside from gaining some amazing clients that I had a blast working for, I also made so many wonderful friends. I cannot thank you all enough for your love and support that made this passion of mine into the growing business that it is today.

A huge thank you to my husband ( @audetcameron ) for his generous assistance on helping me to get this site to launch on my desired date. He seemed to have enjoyed any and all challenges that arose, and looked at it as a way to personally grow in his field. Cameron has worked as a web developer for eight years now, and I’m so thankful to have had his knowledge at my fingertips throughout this entire process. I can honestly say that I would have had several breakdowns if I were doing it alone.

My second thank you goes out to @qualitypressinc for helping me create prints I can truly be happy to send out. For a while I had been doing all my prints in-house and although I felt better about the quality of each run, I still felt they could be better. I am now very proud to send out these prints to you all. In addition to purchasing a print, you will also receive a ‘Certificate of Authenticity’ to go along with it! And lets not forget: with every order comes a free ‘Night Sky’ bookmark. Oh yeah! Still doing that one. Even if your order only contains one sticker, that bad boy is yours!

I’m really looking forward to the new challenges this year will bring. I have two commissions coming up (both 14” x 17” - they’ll be the largest pieces I’ve ever done!), that will contain so many details and some fun imagery for you all to enjoy. I also have another illustration coming up that will be similar to others I’ve done, but this particular one sounds like it’ll be even more awesome. These aren’t even all my requests! I am so grateful already. I love you all! Thank you all so so much for all you do for my heart and soul. Truly.
